My dad worked for Southern Railroad, I have always said that if I had been born a boy, I would have worked for the railroad. I love the railroad....before I was the age of 7 I lived in 6 different places.
When I was 4, I lived in Harriman Tennessee and I actually remember different events that happened to me at that early age.
Hubby took me to Harriman last weekend.
I think it is the first time I actually visited since I lived there as a small child. I did not recognize anything about the small town, I thought I might "know" something, but I did not. Oh well, I am 59 years old and it has been over 50 years....gee I'm old!
I must say it is a lovely town and we had a wonderful time
walking around and going to the park.
We went up the road and visited Oliver Springs and it is a very small town,
but it is where they filmed one of my favorite movies, October Sky.
I am still taking all my photos on manual and sometimes they are good and sometimes they are not but that is the only way that I can learn....so bear with me!
This is my fav
I think it is important to revisit places of your childhood.
I have several places that I need to visit, Selma, Ala, Huntingberg Indiana, Danville Ky,
are just a few where I have lived as a child.
What's really crazy is that remember many things about each of these places
and so many of my former pre-k students do not remember things that
happened in my classroom.
What are your earliest memories????
